Product Description

If circumstances make it necessary to obtain legal advice, negotiation services or you need the specialized knowledge of an attorney to help you plan a business venture, you can retain us for a specific limited task, a legal opinion, planning assistance or advice tailored to your needs. One of our goals is to make the process as easy for you as we can. We can't assist you on every legal subject, but our staff of attorneys can assist you on all types of real estate matters, landlord/tenant law, commercial contract matters, Arizona business law, copyright law, trade name law, internet law, domain name law, probate law and estate planning.

The Limited Engagement Process

It's important for us to collect all the facts and review all relevant documents before giving you an opinion, drafting a contract or helping you decide on a course of action. For example, we typically to review some type of written contract or exchange of communications between parties and evaluate a factual chronology before moving forward. So, the first step is collection of all relevant documents or communications between parties and providing us with copies of the documents. Negotiations are sometimes part of a limited engagement, or drafting a modification to a contract, or drafting a settlement agreement. Limited engagements require a $500 advance fee. The advance fee is placed in trust and we bill against it at the hourly rate of the attorney doing the work. Hourly rates of our attorneys vary from $185 an hour to $425 an hour depending on the experience and specialized knowledge of the attorney. If the time required to address the matter causes fees to exceed $500, clients are billed for the additional fees. Prior to incurring fees in excess of $500, you will be provided with an estimate of the additional fees and you have to authorize the additional work. If the engagement concludes with less than $500 in billed time, the balance held in trust is refunded to you.
